Until now, there were NO certifications for dementia care programming teams! The best we could hope for in days past were certifications for activity directors in assisted living. That's just not specific enough! Designing and implementing engaging programming for people living with dementia is its own niche, and requires its own education path.

Take our course and become a Certified Program Director! You'll be prompted to add this badge to your Linkedin profile via Credly, our accrediting website.

WHO IS DEMENTIA BY DAY?

Dementia By Day is a dementia care consulting firm that was developed in 2014 by Rachael Wonderlin. Rachael is an internationally-recognized dementia care expert and educator. She has a Master’s in Gerontology and is a Johns Hopkins University Press three-time published author.

While Dementia By Day works primarily with senior living companies looking to build or better their dementia care programs, they also love educating dementia care partners through their blog, podcast, and YouTube channel.

Rachael has been featured in Senior Housing News, The Washington Post, Forbes and on PBS Next Avenue. Her “16 Things I’d Want If I Got Dementia” poem has circulated the globe many times over.

"This was a great course: very beneficial for new engagement directors or people that are unfamiliar with working with PLwD."

Kelly Burnett, Director of Dementia Programs, The Carrington
